DescriptionContinental Currency May 20, 1777 $8 PMG Very Fine 30.
A respectably margined note from one of the three scarcest emissions of Continental Currency. Continental Loan Office certificates were issued in exchange for recalled currency from this issue. This issue was heavily counterfeited due to British sponsorship and there are several known varieties of counterfeits of this denomination. PMG has identified this note as having been "cancelled" due to the black ink lines drawn across the face. We will leave the determination as to the genuineness of the note to the winning bidder. "D. Bright" is written in black ink on the back within the nature print portion of the note.
