Half Sheet of the Second Scarcest Continental Issue - The First "United States" IssueContinental Currency May 20, 1777 $2, $3, $4, $5, $6, $7, $8, and $30 Half Sheet of Eight PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40.
One of each note from CC-63 to CC-70. This is the first "United States" issue where the words "United Colonies" have been eliminated. Like the Yorktowns that follow, this issue was heavily counterfeited and was called in for exchange making this the second scarcest issue behind the Yorktowns. This half sheet was folded at one time and apparently had a juncture hole at its center which has now been repaired. PCGS also notes "Minor Stains." This sheet was apparently stored folded, exposing the backs of two of the notes to discoloration while the other six were spared. A rare issue at most all grade levels and very rare as a multiple.
