    Description

Continental Currency May 10, 1775 $30 Contemporary Counterfeit PMG Choice Fine 15.
The plates for this counterfeit were engraved by Henry Dawkins, a silversmith and engraver, who was arrested for counterfeiting in 1776. The note has rather shallow engraving and pale printing. At some point in its life, this note was mounted to show the back, with five small scuff spots on the face due to dismounting.
