DescriptionContinental Currency January 14, 1779 $30, $35, $40, $45, $50, $55, $60 and $65 Counterfeit Detector Sheet PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
This final issue is quite rare in detector form, and even more so as a multiple. We have sold only one other example, a PMG 15 Net with a large missing piece at the upper right. That sheet realized $1,380 in our 2010 Central States Auction. Although the damage to this sheet is less severe, none of the notes are perfect. PCGS has assigned Apparent for "Splits and Damage; Stains; Tape Repairs."
