DescriptionContinental Currency February 26, 1777 $30 PCGS Very Fine 30.
A lightly circulated example of the highest denomination from this desirable Baltimore issue. This denomination also has two emblems on the back, adding to the appeal for collectors. They are known as the Baltimore issue because the notes were authorized by the Continental Congress when they convened in Baltimore because of Philadelphia's occupation by the British. The notes may have been printed partially or completely in Philadelphia as the Continental Congress was able to resume meeting there on March 4, 1777. The eye appeal of this note is that which is associated with a higher grade.
