DescriptionContinental Currency February 26, 1777 $30 PCGS New 62PPQ.
Broadly margined, bright, crisp and extremely attractive. Both of the vignettes on the back of this denomination are far clearer than those usually seen. An outstanding Continental. The note is from the upper left corner of a sheet with extraordinary large boarders at the top and left. The 62 grade is most certainly the result of the bottom margin just touching the design both face and back. Save for that the piece is a pure Gem. In last year's Long Beach Sale we sold a 66 PPQ for $9400. We're not indicating that this note is worth anywhere that much, but it is certainly worth more than the 62 PPQ grade would imply. A very beautiful Continental!
