DescriptionContinental Currency February 26, 1777 $30 PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.
A very lightly handled example of the highest denomination from this desirable Baltimore issue. This denomination also has two emblems on the back, adding to the appeal for collectors. They are known as the Baltimore issue because the notes were authorized by the Continental Congress when they convened in Baltimore because of Philadelphia's occupation by the British. The notes may have been printed partially or completely in Philadelphia as the Continental Congress was able to resume meeting there on March 4, 1777. Richard Cromwell and James Kelso signed this well printed note.
