DescriptionContinental Currency February 26, 1777 $30 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
A moderately circulated example of the highest denomination from this desirable Baltimore issue. They are known as the Baltimore issue because the notes were authorized by the Continental Congress when they convened in Baltimore due to Philadelphia's occupation by the British. The notes may have been printed partially or completely in Philadelphia as the Continental Congress was able to resume meeting there on March 4, 1777. An edge split at top center accounts for the apparent grade.
