    PCGS Gem New 66PPQ $4 February 17th, 1776 Continental

    Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $4 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
    The sheetmate of the $1 67PPQ appearing above. This note also sold for an extremely strong price in our January 2016 sale. At that time, it hammered at $9400. The market for high grade Continentals was at its peak then, and this note will probably fall slightly short of its previous mark this evening. PMG has not graded an example of this note higher than 65. PCGS has graded this 66 and one other.
