Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $1/6 Fr. CC-19. PCGS Gem
New 66PPQ.This second Gem represents another important opportunity to obtain a note that is tied for finest known at PCGS. This stunning $1/6 is the third note from the first row of the lower serial-numbered pane. Plate C. No. 386968. Signed by B. Brannan in red and as impressive as its sheet- and pane-companion note. The very deeply inked face printing is flawless, the wide margins frame the face beautifully, and the face-to-back registration perfect. Beautifully balanced on both sides. Like the previous, one of the finest Fugio notes cataloged in any auction sale: a nearly perfect $1/6 note, ideal for a type set or to propel a 102-note Continental currency set to an elite level.
