    Description

Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $1/2 PCGS Apparent About New 50.
The important designs on both sides of this $1/2 were well printed and retain pleasing eye appeal on this plate letter A example. These fractional notes that were part of only this one Continental issue are collector favorites, in part because the Fugio and Linked Colonies designs can be traced to Benjamin Franklin. Brannan's signature in red ink remains bold and several pieces of mica flakes are readily visible. The staining resulted in the apparent grade.
