DescriptionContinental Currency April 11, 1778 $8 PMG Very Fine 20 Net.
This April 1778 Continental emission, popularly referred to as the Yorktown issue, is the scarcest of all eleven Continental issues due to the fact that there was such widespread counterfeiting by the British that printing was stopped. Net graded by PMG for a foreign substance although we aren't really sure to what they are referring. The last comparable example from this issue that we sold was a $7 note, graded PCGS Apparent VF 20, that realized $646.25 earlier this year. If you are looking for a scarce Continental to add to your collection then the time is now to acquire it.
