DescriptionContinental Currency April 11, 1778 $8 PMG About Uncirculated 53. This April 1778 is by far the scarcest of all the Continental Currency emissions. It was heavily counterfeited by the British and therefore notes were pulled from circulation quickly leaving relatively few survivors today. This note is undoubtedly genuine with bold signatures, bright paper and superb eye appeal. Whatever circulation accounted for the assigned third party grade is very difficult to discern through the holder. A very similar note to a couple examples that we have sold this year, both of which realized around $2,000 each.
Estimate: $2,000 - up.
