DescriptionContinental Currency April 11, 1778 $4 PCGS Very Fine 20.
The Yorktown issue is the scarcest of all the Continental issues due to the fact that is was heavily counterfeited by the British and therefore genuine notes were pulled early on. This is a much scarcer low denomination example and completely genuine. Here at Heritage we have only sold a total of six examples of this denomination and none since our 2010 ANA Sale. A solid, evenly circulated note that should be very well received in today's fast-paced Continental market.
