DescriptionContinental Currency April 11, 1778 $4 PCGS Extremely Fine 40.
One of the scarcest of the Yorktown denominations and an extremely nice, mid-grade XF. We had two identically graded PCGS 58 PPQs in our Newman Sales. The one in 2015 brought $5875 and the more recent piece $4230. While not in the same grade class as those two high-end AUs, this is still a very presentable note with good eye-appeal.
Estimate: $2,250 - up.
