DescriptionBenjamin Levy Signed Continental Currency November 2, 1776 $30 PCGS Very Fine 30.
Boldly signed by B(enjamin) Levy, the only Jewish signer of Continental Currency. For decades, Ben Jacobs was also believed to have been Jewish. However, extensive research by Richard Melamed (not the coin dealer) disproved that. That research has halved the number of Jewish signers and doubled the interest in these notes. PCGS commented, "Small Edge Tears at Top," which are minor. This note is all about the signature and it is dark and bold.
Estimate: $1,250 - up.
