A boldly printed note that could be used for payment to "pass one Gate, for each Loaded Waggon. Sled. & P. Sleigh" on what today is essentially Route 91. More often seen as unsigned remainders, this example was signed by the second president of the company, H. Baldwin. This is an example of the variety printed in black ink rather than blue ink. The company's notes were engraved by Amos Doolittle of New Haven and were printed on paper furnished by the Hudson and Goodwin Company.
