Connecticut Treasury Office Certificate. February 1, 1781. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
This is actually a much scarcer type that we haven't often encountered. It is signed by John Lawrence as Treasurer and denominated 218 pounds 17 shillings 3 pence. There are many "interest-paid" notations on the back as well as a couple of large ones at the front left. "State of Connecticut" Treasury-Office with typeset date February 1, 1781. Made out to Isaac Thomlinson of Woodbury. PCGS notes some splits and tape repairs but they are on the back and do little to hinder the beauty of this fiscal piece.
