    Connecticut Treasury Certificate July 1, 1780 £3 3s 3d PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20, HOC Anderson 21.
These certificates were given for money borrowed by the state and to redeem outstanding state notes at specie value. Signed by John Lawrence, State Treasurer from 1769-1789, it has multiple interest payment notations on the back. This example has been severed at the top and sew-repaired where it has a half hole cancel at the top and a full one in the center of the note. It was given an Apparent grade for this repair and for edge splits and tears.
