    Description

Connecticut Treasurer Peter Colt Summons December 21, 1789.
Treasurer Peter Colt informs the sheriff of Litchfield County that a constable for the area has neglected to pay the Sixpenny tax funds for the year 1789. If the funds are not forthcoming, a distress sale of the estate of the constable is in order. This is only the second one of these that we have auctioned and the much nicer of the two. Extremely Fine, with a couple of small internal splits. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason.
