DescriptionConnecticut March 26, 1761 1s PMG Good 4 Net.
We have never offered any pre-1770 Connecticut note here at Heritage. In fact, the Newman reference only lists a price for one 40 shilling note; a counterfeit that Stacks sold back in 2004. A crushingly rare series that should be coveted by its new owner as a trophy piece despite its shortcomings. PMG has net graded due to its being backed and pieces contemporarily sewn together. It is somewhat interesting that there is no mention of the bottom 1/3 of the note missing but that's the way these things go. The state coat of arms and the full date are present and that will still make this a very desirable item for a multitude of collectors.
Estimate: $1,000 - up.
