    Connecticut June 19, 1776 9d PCGS Apparent Choice About New 58.
    This lovely, uncancelled nine pence note has sharp printing and bright paper. Only 15,000 of this denomination were issued. George Wyllys, the signer on this example was born on Oct. 6, 1710 in Hartford. He was the great grandson of two Connecticut Colony governors and served as Secretary of the State of Connecticut from 1735-96. The Apparent grade is due to an edge tear at the bottom right.
