    Connecticut June 19, 1776 5s Fine.
Uncancelled and much scarcer as such. The two highest denomination notes from this issue, 5 shillings and 40 shillings, are really much scarcer and more desirable. The last 5s note we sold was graded Fair and had been cut cancelled and it was not very attractive. With all those problems, it still sold for $42. This note has a technical grade of Fine, but with a large tape repaired separation along the center fold, splits, tears, stains, and missing edge pieces. It is still a far more desirable piece compared to the Fair example we sold. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason.
