Connecticut June 1, 1773 40s Pen Cancelled PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.
From the John J. Ford Jr. Collection. Likely Top Pop at either grading service since to your cataloger's best knowledge (which is considerable) there are no CU examples that exist of this issue. This is also therefore the nicest example that we have had the privilege of offering. Even though technically cancelled, it is far more desirable with the light pen cancel than it is with the typical slash cancel that is found on almost all of these early Connecticut notes. A real prize piece for the colonial savant that should not be overlooked.
