    Description

Connecticut July 1, 1775 10s PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. Very nicely printed with decent margins, this extremely important note has nice eye appeal. Newman's The Early Paper Money of America does not price this uncanceled Ten Shilling above the Very Fine ($600) grade. This nice XF should approach that figure. Although PMG mentioned a few very minor edge tears, this note did not receive a net grade, and the tears are unimportant on a note of this significance. Although the signatures have faded, all three signers can be ascertained. They were Jesse Root, Elisha Williams, and Jabez Hamlin.

    Estimate: $300 - up.
