This pair of notes was issued on October 20, 1788 and ordered the Treasurer John Lawrence to pay Ralph Bingham ten pounds. The notes are signed four times by Oliver Wolcott, Jr. He was the state controller and he would later become Secretary of the Treasury, 1795 - 1800.
