    Sovereign Bank Models

Toronto, ON- The Sovereign Bank of Canada $20 May 1, 1906 Ch. # 685-10-12 PFM & PBM Printer Front and Back Models
The Sovereign Bank had a meteoric rise and fall from 1901 to 1908. The Charlton number is incorrect on the third party labels as this is an unused design proposal and is vastly different than the note plated in Charlton for this number. Date stamps, initials, and written comments are all found within the selvage of this historical and unique pair. These models were formerly part of lot 452 in the November 1990 auction of the archives of the ABNCo. A rare bank with this "what-if" note being only the second opportunity for us to offer any type of material on this bank. Graded by PMG, the face grades Good 6 Net with minor edge pieces of the note missing and the back grades Very Good 10. (Total: 2 notes)
