Description

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Bank of Commerce $20 Jan. 2, 1917 Ch. # 75-16-04-16
Fewer than two dozen of these 1917 $20s with the Walker-Aird signature combination are known in collector hands. They are much scarcer than the Aird-Logan notes issued later. This is just the second example we have handled, with the last being a Very Fine 35 that sold for $1,100. This example is a wholesome Very Fine 20, with solid colors on front and back though there is a small tear. PMG mistakenly identified this as the latter Logan issue and thus the Charlton number on the holder is incorrect. PMG Very Fine 20.
