Description

    St. John's, NF- Newfoundland Government Cash Note 25¢ 1912-1913 Ch. # NF-7c
These notes were used by the Government of Newfoundland for public and marine works projects as well as welfare payments in the years right before World War One. Tonight's note grades PMG Very Fine 25. We have sold only one other example of this Charlton number, and while that note also was a PMG VF 25 and went for $402 in January 2009, the current example is superior, with its darker inks and sound margins and no signs of pencilled teller graffiti.
