    Description

St. John's, NF- Newfoundland Government Cash Note $1 1903 Ch. # NF-5c PMG Very Fine 20 Net.
A rare and interesting cash note, printed for the British Colony of Newfoundland, to be redeemed by a Canadian Bank, the Bank of Montreal. Despite the Newfoundland's political ties with Britain, its geographical proximity to Canada could not be ignored. Limited issuance in 1903 has left very few of these cash notes remaining today. Although repairs are noted, the overall appearance is decent for such a rare note.
