Possibly Unique Niagara District Bank $1

St. Catherines, ON- Niagara District Bank $1 Ch. # 530-10-04
A newly discovered and very possibly unique note from this rather short lived bank, as the Charlton reference indicates that no signed and issued $1 examples are known from this institution save for less than a handful of specimens which are raised to either the $5 or the $10 denomination. This piece is most assuredly not raised from its issued $1 denomination. There are a few minor splits, tears and repairs, but where can another such note be obtained at any price? PCGS Apparent Fine 12, with a better appearance than the assigned grade would indicate.
