Bank of Hamilton Uncut Sheet of $50 Specimens

Hamilton, ON- Bank of Hamilton $50 2.1.1904 Ch. # 345-18-08S Specimen Uncut Sheet of Four. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
The third of three uncut sheets from this 1904 Bank of Hamilton issue. This $50 denomination example features a face side vignette of Queen Alexandra seated on a throne, red-inked "SPECIMEN" on both sides, and 2 POCs across the lower portion of each note. Of interest, Charlton mentions that regular issued $50 denominated notes are not available to collectors as known examples are maintained in institutional collections only. This will only be the second time we have handled this large denomination from this issue and is the first time that an uncut sheet will cross our auction block.
