    Description

    DC-2a $1 1878
This is a newly discovered example from the New England cash hoard, which consisted of both U.S. and Canadian notes from the 1860's through the 1880's. This note, from the first Dominion issue, is payable at Montreal. It's considerably nicer than the example we sold as part of the Halton Lake collection this past September, which realized $1610. Bright and problem free Fine-Very Fine.
