    Description

    DC-23a $1 1917
The popular "Princess Patricia" note, so named for its central vignette of the Princess, the daughter of former Governor General The Duke of Connaught. That this wartime issue portrays Princess Patricia is not surprising, as the Princess lent her name and assistance to raising a regiment named the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, designing the regiment's colors and becoming its Colonel-in-Chief. Strictly Uncirculated examples can be difficult to locate and PMG's statistics bear this out with this the lone graded "65" and just two higher. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
