Description

    DC-23a $1 1917
The popular "Princess Patricia" note, so named for its central vignette of the Princess, the daughter of former Governor General The Duke of Connaught. She was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. That this wartime issue portrays Princess Patricia is not surprising, as the Princess lent her name and assistance to raising a regiment named the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, designing the regiment's colors and becoming its colonel-in-chief. PMG Very Fine 30.

    Estimate: $300 - $400.
