Description

Rare High Grade Osborne-Towers $50

Canada Bank of Canada $50 2.1.1937 BC-26a PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
A rare, high grade example of the 1937 $50 issue with an A/H prefix, and the signature combination of Osborne-Towers. This came from a low print run of only 100,000 notes, which were printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company. The Canadian Paper Money Society Note Registry, 3rd edition states that only 107 notes with this signature combination have been reported, of these only five were described as in Uncirculated condition. Additionally, the PMG Population Report reveals only four examples in Uncirculated grade. Bold colors, bright paper, and good centering are visible on this highly desirable note.
