    BC-26S $50 1937 Specimen
    An A/H prefix Specimen with paper originality grading PCGS Gem New 66PPQ, hole punch cancelled. Both prefixes for this number in Specimen form are found in this auction. Charlton only values these 1937 Specimens in the AU grade. This $50 and the following 1937 $50, $100, and $1000 Specimens have the usual cancellations for this issue of Canadian Bank Note Company Specimens sold by the Bank of Canada in November 1999. Those cancellations are "Specimen," perforated diagonally three times, plus four round holes punched in the signature area. These Specimens also have all zero serial numbers and "Specimen" is printed twice in red ink in the signature area.
