Heritage Internet Currency Auction Results Sale #34052
Dallas, TX: Heritage's 422-lot Internet CurrencyAuction.com sale #34052, which closed Sunday night, May 30, sold 305 lots (85.20% of lots offered). Total sales were $65,124.75. With 422 bidders participating, 224 were successful.
Every single-item lot includes full-color enlargeable images of the obverse and reverse, to help bidders determine their bids with confidence.
Below are some of the highlights from the May 30 CurrencyAuction.com sale:
Fr. 2201-B $500 1934 Federal Reserve Note. Extremely Fine.
A lightly circulated, problem-free $500. Est. 900-1,100. Realized $1,381.15
North Carolina December 22, 1758 20s Very Fine.
This is an extreme rarity, particularly so in relatively undamaged, problem-free condition. Every word of the text is perfectly clear, as is the handwritten issue date and both the signatures of Thomas Barker and John Starkey. Starkey's signature is rather light. The note is very well margined for an early issue and is problem free save for one small body hole, some pinholes and a rough area at the top edge. Est. 2,000-up. Realized $1,150.00
Fr. 1238 5c Third Issue Inverted Back Extremely Fine.
This is one of the most difficult major Fractional types to find inverted. This piece is a solid, strictly original XF with two huge face margins and two smaller ones. The inverted back is off center to the lower left. Only six or seven Clark Inverts are known, and the appearance of one on the market always garners considerable attention. This nice unmolested XF should easily cruise past the $1000 mark. Est. 1,500-up. Realized $1,150.00
CurrencyAuction.com sales close (and a new sale begins) at 10pm CT on the 15th and 30th day of every month. The complete prices realized along with full-color images of every coin in this sale, and all other Heritage auctions, are available at no charge to Heritage Coin members in the Permanent Auction Archives (membership is totally free).
