Description

Well Embossed $50 Fourth Liberty Gold Bond

Fourth Liberty Loan 4 1/4% Gold Bond of 1933-1938 $50 Oct. 24, 1918
While the Fourth Liberty Loan Bonds do not represent the scarcest series for this issue, this is one of the better examples we have handled as it is complete with all coupons attached. As coupon numbers 1 through 4 were used for the two year short-term bonds, the coupons on the large format bonds are numbered 5 through 40. Vivid green color on the face and a dark brown overprint on the back complement each other very nicely on this well embossed Very Fine-Extremely Fine $50 that just has the usual light folds.
