Malaysia Bank Negara 1000 Ringgit ND (1976-81) Pick 18
KNB18a-b PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.This is the second note in a consecutive pair of finest graded $1000 Ringgit banknotes from the 1976-1981 series. At the time of writing, PMG has graded 319 examples of this note, with only 23 at this grade level, and none finer. During the late 1970s, $1000 Ringgit was exchangeable for approximately $400 USD, which is why so few of these ultra high denomination banknotes are seen today. Sought after by collectors in Malaysia and worldwide, and especially so in the very best of collector grades. A simply stunning example of a fantastic, large format, highest denomination type. Extremely pretty.
