This Sequoyah County town had but one bank, this institution which lasted until the beginnings of the Dust Bowl in 1931. Rare in both large and small with less than a handful of each (five large and four small) listed in the most recent Kelly reference, this is a note that is infrequently offered--the most recent offering was in one of our sales in 1998. This large size example has bold pen signatures, one purple and one black, and although we'll go with a more conservative About Fine grade due to a little honest circulation soiling, it has enough body in the paper for a full Fine grade. Rare enough to see quite a few bidder cards in the air, and certain to reach or exceed. . .
