Fr. 1880-L $50 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PCGS Banknote
Superb Gem Unc 67 PPQ.A jaw-dropping example of a 1929 San Francisco district $50 Federal Reserve Bank Note, this piece is tied for the highest graded example across all grading services. This is the only example graded by PCGS Banknote to earn the lofty 67 PPQ grade, and the statistics at PMG are equal, as they have only graded a single 67 EPQ. We offered that PMG graded Fr. 1880-L during our 2017 Long Beach Signature Auction, where it brought $7,800. It has now been seven years since that offering, and collectors who are searching for the finest of examples have a chance to add this Friedberg at the 67 level.
