Bangor, ME - $1 Original Fr. 380a The Traders National Bank Ch.
# 1095 PMG Choice Fine 15.A great new entrant to the census of this downright rare Bangor bank that issued First Charter notes before liquidating in 1879. This is just the third note to be reported from here and the first ace. Of the other two pieces, both Original Series $5, just one has ever appeared at public sale and that was a PMG Fine 15 example that brought $5,175 in 2013. While this Original Series $1 has the typical New England trim, it does have solid paper for the grade with pleasing color and bold pen signatures.
