South Carolina April 10, 1778 2s 6d-5s / 3s 9d-10s Uncut Block of Four PMG About Uncirculated 50.With the two uncut blocks of four appearing in this auction, we have now offered four different examples of this sheet. The notes were part of a £100,000 issue authorized by the General Assembly on March 28, 1778. The notes of this block of four bear serial number 784 and are signed by John Beale and John Peronneau. PMG mentions some stains as well as a missing sheet corner that touches the 5s note at lower left.
