Argentina Republica Argentina 20 Pesos 1.1.1895 Face and Back Proofs Pick 222p.The first of a wonderful group of colorful Argentinian proofs with the face in this lot featuring black inks over a light orange and light green underprint. Depicted on face is Juan Antonio Álvarez de Arenales, an Argentine general of Spanish origin who fought in the war for the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata, Chile, and Peru. A lovely pair free of any visual distractions. Perforated cancelled. Both face and back grade PCGS Very Choice New 64.
