Description

King George V Grade Rarity
The Finest PMG Graded Example for All Jamaica KGV Issues

Jamaica Government of Jamaica 5 Shillings 1918 Pick 32a PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ.
Incredible originality is seen on both sides of this fantastic note. Although dated with a 1918 law, this note was not issued to the public until 1931. Roaring River Falls and the Flat Bridge are seen on this handsome Waterlow & Sons note. At the time of cataloging, this is the single finest graded example in the PMG Population Report across both known signature varieties for the type. The signature of Arthur Hodges is seen on this variety, as he was Island Treasurer from 1936-38. Approximately 200,000 notes of this variety were issued. Rare in any grade and exceptional as presented.
From the Drs. Joanne and Edward Dauer Collection
