High Grade Silver Ace with Serial Number F00000001C
Serial Number 1 Fr. 1608 $1 1935A Silver Certificate. PCGS
Banknote Superb Gem Unc 67 PPQ.Serial Number 1 is a difficult serial number to obtain on Silver Certificates of this era. Our current offering, which bears a serial number F00000001C, is very well preserved, with nice face to back registration and excellent color. We have not auctioned a note of this Friedberg number bearing this serial number since April 2018. That piece, which was from the S-B block, was graded by PCGS as a Choice New 63PPQ and realized $5,040. We have not had the privilege prior to now of offering a Serial Number 1 Fr. 1608 $1 from the F-C block. To make this rarity even more enticing, the note completes a Progressive Set of Binary Serial Numbers (serial numbers 00000011-01111111) also offered in this auction. Our conservative estimate could very well be exceeded tonight for this rarity.
