Handsome Philip Sheridan Ornate Back $10 Treasury Note
Fr. 366 $10 1890 Treasury Note PMG About Uncirculated
53.The first Friedberg number for this design that features an Ornate Back and the portrait of "Fightin' Phil" Philip Sheridan. PMG has graded this lone example at the 53 level, with only eight higher for Fr. 366. This note made its last public appearance in our November 1992 auction where we called it AU and PMG has agreed with our assessment. The handling that determined the grade of this handsome note is indiscernible through the third party holder. In our last Central States auction, we sold a PMG About Uncirculated 55 note for $9,600.
