Winter Haven, FL - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The American National Bank Ch.
# 12100 PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ.While somewhat available in large, this Winter Haven bank is excessively rare in small with just three pieces in the census. That anomaly is easily explained by the fact that this charter liquidated in November of 1929, mere months after the small size era began. Tonight's offering, which bears low serial number A000004A, is easily the finest of the three notes reported and is the only one of that trio to have made a public appearance since 2008. In our 2020 FUN auction, this $10 realized a strong $13,200, and considering that it is still just as rare today, it could approach that number again.
