Fr. 212d $50 1865 Interest Bearing Note Fine-Very Fine. This gorgeous example is one of only nine examples known, two of which are definitively counterfeit and a third very likely so. This piece is only a touch in grade below our Taylor example which realized a hair under $40,000. Middle-of-the-book notes have only recently begun to attract the attention they deserve and this well margined, handsome piece is very likely to do just about as well as the Taylor example did.Auction Info
